Fun gift for my son who recently visited Japan and brought me back a tapestry with THE WAVE artwork.
My husband loves to cook but is not always careful about setting down hot pans. This trivet is a great match in our kitchen so it looks good left sitting on the counter. Problem solved. My husband loved it as a birthday gift.
I always try to find a solution of putting a hot lid on the countertop until I started using this trivet I bought last year and thought about my kitchen book stand. I put the metal book stand on top of this trivet and put a hot wet lid on the book stand. The liquid will flow on the trivet and the hot lid has a hard touch on the trivet surface. But I don't worry about a damage because it will still look good after being cleaned. Recent days, since I don't use it on this purpose every day, I found my husband put it under our glass tea pot. I really enjoy the multiple functions and the beautiful pattern. I am thinking to buy more. Thanks for the great design :)

This is a great trivet. Not just for hot items, but to use on the counter for wet items, cold plates, or just to have out because it looks so good.
